Description: Kino and Hermes travel along a dirt road surrounded by grassy fields. As they go, they begin to notice the fields are full of sheep, and as more time passes they realize the sheep... seem to be watching them, actually. No, not only that, but beginning to follow and give chase. They're eventually forced to try to outrun the sheep, who are at this point all giving chase, only to become cornered at the edge of a ravine. Hermes tells Kino to abandon him and go on ahead, secure a route, and then return to him. Kino protests briefly, but there's no time, so they reluctantly grab what supplies and weapons they can carry on their person before climbing down the ravine. Hermes reassures them that he'll just spend the time learning how to speak sheep.
Kino then travels on foot at the bottom of the ravine, swearing revenge on the sheep and noting with some disdain that the sheep are still ever-watching from the top of the ledge. They're forced to make camp for the night in the ravine, and even then, shadows of the sheep above can be seen. Watching. Waiting.
