Memory - First day of “Tradition” —Tricksters—

Description: Kino and Hermes travel to a country full of people wearing... cat ears. According to the leader, the country used to be built around the summer home of a royal family, but the family died off. However, the people still retain an ancient tradition of always wearing cat ears on their heads because they always make people happy to see no matter how upset they may be, thus making them believed to be a means of making harmonious human relations. The leader then tries to get Kino to join in on the tradition, offering to lend a pair of chic black cat ears to Kino... but they decline.

Note: the original Japanese does not particularly gender Kino, and by default most people tend to assume Kino is male upon sight, so assume cases of "Miss" etc. are just some polite referral to Kino (one official translation uses Mx.) unless otherwise noted.
